MINISTRIES

CHILDREN'S MINISTRY

Bellshire Ministries offers an exciting kid’s program, Bellshire Explorers!

Our children learn the Word of God through songs and targeted curriculum.  These lessons will have your child jumping for joy as he or she learns all about God’s Word, God’s Love and Life in Christ. Teachers are parents of our children and/or other trusted members of our congregation.  Activities include Bible Story/Lessons, Crafts, Coloring, Games, Sharing, Music, Play Time and Snack Time.  Children dismiss to Children's Church immediately after worship.

CHILDREN'S CLASSES

Sunday Morning

Church starts at 10:30 and children dismiss to Children’s Church during the offertory or shortly thereafter. We feel that it is important for children to learn about worshiping the Lord with their families, both natural and spiritual.

Wednesday Night

Children’s Church starts at 6:30 and goes until around 8 p.m. Our children have fun learning stories and songs and Bible verses as well as playing games and spending time learning how to play together.

COMMUNITY CARE

We love our community.  We serve through projects and participation.

Projects have included:

"Therefore, my dear brothers and sisters, stand firm. Let nothing move you. Always give yourselves fully to the work of the Lord, because you know that your labor in the Lord is not in vain." - 1 Corinthians 15:58

MEN'S MINISTRY

INITIAL GOAL

  Fulfill Psalm 133

FOCUS: "Behold, how good and how pleasant it is for brethren to dwell together in unity!" - Psalm 133:1

UNITY IN

Accomplished through

"Behold, how good and how pleasant it is for brethren to dwell together in unity!

It is like the precious ointment upon the head, that ran down upon the beard, even Aaron's beard: that went down to the skirts of his garments;

As the dew of Hermon, and as the dew that descended upon the mountains of Zion: for there the Lord commanded the blessing, even life for evermore." - Psalm 133

MISSIONS

Brother Philip Polo serves the Rongai area just outside Nairobi, Kenya. We are thankful and blessed to partner with him in ministering to the "least of these" in this area of the world.

Stepping Forward; Pursuing the Call

An article by Philip Polo, Missionary

Sharing the Love and Compassion of Christ with His People, a lost and hurting world, is our greatest passion and commitment at the Great Commission Church of God of Prophecy in Rongai-Tuala … (His word was in me like a burning fire). … From inception, we have pursued the calling to go to the world and make disciples of all nations through a number of intervention measures as/like – sharing the Message of salvation of the Kingdom of God, the call to Discipleship, and Spirit filled authentic Worship Experiences and Local Community Outreach Interventions.

In the past, the Church has reached out to the local communities through such events like the VBS, Slum Community Feeding Programs, donations of clothing, ministering by way of giving out and distribution of Bibles & Discipleship Resources and even provision of life skills training for the youths.

Bellshire Helping Hands Kindergarten is our local church’s initiative, in partnership with Bellshire Church of God of Prophecy in Nashville, TN to reach out and serve the children in the local community and their families through provision of day care services and early childhood education. The kindergarten continues to spread the love and compassion of Christ with the children in the area and remains the only church sponsored initiative in the locality to date since inception in the year 2016 with great testimonies of how the lives of the children who attend the kindergarten have been impacted positively.

The emergence of the global crises occasioned by the outbreak Corona Virus in the year 2020 provided another exceptional avenue for outreach evangelism through the prevailing economic challenges and difficulties of the time. At the height of the pandemic, the Church stepped forward to devise a unique collaboration agreement for the supply of relief food to serve the local communities with packets of corn meal every Sunday afternoon from 3:30 pm to 5:30 pm from April through July of 2020 as a means of sharing the love and compassion of God with the suffering humanity (Matthew 25:40); being counted among the 5% of all the religious institutions in the country to be able to give a helping hand to the people of Kenya during the worst ever global pandemic so far experienced in our time!

As a local church, we are grateful to God our Father for the ability to be able to serve our community in every small manner/way as we can, but with a significant impact to the Kingdom as we serve humanity, sharing the love and compassion of Christ to the glory of our God who commissioned us into His Service!

As I reminisce through the ministry experiences thus far, I can only marvel and testify to God's faithfulness through the years along the journey. In most of the instances, the fear is overwhelming, but He has always come through at the least expected moments, when giving up and throwing in the towel seemed the only most logical course of action to take. I am forever amazed at His faithfulness!

Please pray with us for the grace and humility to serve in the will and plan of God as we continue to pursue our clarion call as derived from the book of Proverbs 22:6 in training up children in the way they should grow up as we plant the seeds of faith and develop lifelong skills in our kids. Also pray with us that the Lord continues to direct and lead us to the right support staff who share in our vision and calling as a ministry both at the Great Commission Church of God of Prophecy in Rongai-Tuala and the BHH Kindergarten.

We also need prayer support that the Lord grants us the favor with Himself and our local community to be receptive to our message of the Kingdom that we share through the words of the scripture, our worship services and our actions as we seek to fulfil the call of God in our hearts.

To date, we remain the only Church in the community that targets, reaches out to and ministers to children in the area every day of the week as children keep flowing in and out of the facility all day long through the week. We also give them meals as and when our resources allow us to do so. This presents unique sets of challenges and opportunities at the same time along the way.

YOUTH MINISTRY

WHEN YOU FEEL ALL ALONE...

we understand. Life can be way complicated.  Sometimes you feel alone and scared.

We're here to share this journey with you.  We can text. We can talk. We can learn... together.

You are NOT alone. Jesus is always with you and we're close by too.

He was in the fire with Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego and

He's still in the fire.

He's with you every single day in every single way.

We're here too.  We want to help you and learn with you.

We just want to do LIFE STUFF with you.

“Look!” he answered, “I see four men loose,

walking in the midst of the fire; and they are not hurt,

and the form of the fourth is like the Son of God.”
