            Church at Rongai, Nairobi KENYA

February 6, 2012 Update from Pastor Philip Polo

_Greetings to you and the brother from Bellshire Church.

Thank you for praying for our service yesterday.   Am glad to share that there was an awesome experience of the presence and visitation of the Holy Spirit during the service yesterday. Next Sunday, I will be teaching on speaking in tongues as the spirit gives utterance. Please continue to pray for our lessons.

Am not sure I already sent you the attached photos church missions and family [see photos below]; but it is so wonderful to experience the Lord during our worship services. Please continue to uphold us in prayers.

Blessings of His grace and peace.

            Bro. Philip

            November 17, 2011 Update

Greetings to you and the entire Belshire church from Rongai Church in Nairobi.   I got your message from facebook and I must apologise am not a well versed or frequent user yet, but am trying to catch up.

Last sunday, we were blessed to share about being our brothers' keepers, borrowing from the story of Cain and Abel in Genesis 4. The Lord powerfully ministered to us through this scripture passage as we reflected and meditated on the two brothers offerings to God and God's response to each one of them.

1.) As a local church, we are currently negotiating a deal with a local radio station - Sifa FM, to have the opportunity to share the Good News of the Great Commission through their air waves. We are trusting God for a breakthrough in the negotiations.

2.) As a local church, we have arranged a Saturday afternoon house to house witnessing fellowship, where we reach out to the local community with the word of the Good News. Please do pray with us that through these meetings, many more would be able to turn to the Lord.

3.) Our children's ministry department is organizing a vocational bible training institute to share the love of Christ with the children in the locality for December, April, August holidays. Please join with us in prayers as the planning and preparations for these VBS go on.

4.) Choir/Praise & Worship Ministries: We are trusting the Lord to give us a choir tutor to assist with the musical trainings in Choir; praising and worshipping the Lord as a Church.

5.) Auxiliaries; We as a church are trusting the Lord to give us people with passion for the ministry to serve as ministers in the various deparmental auxiliaries of the church; and to acquire new insights and inspiration from the Lord as we carry on the ministry of this church.

Please pray with us for God's outpouring of His spirit as we labour into His Harvest field.

Blessings of His grace upon you.

            Bro. Philip

October 30th Dedication Service for the new church property

            Dear Bro. Carroll,

Greetings to you and all the beloved brethren at Belshire.   As we move closer to the official launch and dedication of the Church and ministry at Oloosirkon, Rongai on Sunday October 23rd, at 9:30 am, I am reminded of the journey travelled in the ministry that eventually led to the birth of the church in this area.

Little did I know that God was in the process of fulfilling a dream I long held when I began to serve in the ministry as a volunteer Children’s and Youth Director way back in the year 2000; and this He accomplished through your support to us this year!   We intend to set up a kindergarten for pre-school children within this church property as a way of sharing the love of God with them at this tender age and bringing them to the knowledge of Christ just as they begin their journey in life.

The journey ahead may be uncertain, but the Lord who began the whole work will be sure to bring it to completion. Let’s continue to uphold one another in prayer for His divine will and guidance as we watch the relationship between our two congregations flourish.   I am looking forward to share with you much more in summer during the Assembly next year. I have already began saving for the event and looking forward to the occasion.   Find attached a few photos of our service, children’s session and a bit of family photos.

Blessings of His grace and peace,

            Bro. Philip
